I have a question...

What is so much better about Rock, Metal, or other such genres over Rap? How much more skill does it take to follow very little rhythm, slam power chords, and scream over beat-boxing, writing lyrics that actually make sense, and rapping those lyrics? I don't understand why people are so biased against Rap music.

I am not 100% against Rap, I just simply don't really like it for the lyrics and the way it is approached. The way a Rap song is sung is what makes me dislike it, the order of appearance of the words. I don't like swearing either which is more prominent in Rap songs compared to others, however other songs also have swears.

Yeah, I don't listen to Rap songs that swear. I mostly listen to Christian rap artists for that reason lol

But the swears in rap songs are not more prominent than all other genres. Disturbed swears just as much or more than most rap artists, and many other bands are the same way.

Like I said, usually Rap songs contain swears, not all do, but they do more so than normal songs.

Wait, what defines a "normal" song? What you're basically saying is that rap is not normal music, but what if someone were to think Rock is not a normal type of music? After all, people have been rhyming for far longer than they've been rocking.

Actually, I don't define Rock, Metal, Pop and other kinds to be normal either. I consider actually none to be normal, however some more appropriate and more fun to listen to than others.

I agree with you that much. I just didn't know what you meant by "normal songs".

I hate to say it, but so is much of metal and rock nowadays as well. Corruption has imbedded itself in a lot of today's genres.

I am kidding, I listen to new music, like Link Park, One republic and stuff like that.

I like Linkin Park's older stuff, mostly from Meteora and Hybrid Theory. Those are two of my favorite albums ever. OneRepublic is pretty good as well.
