iPad, The Over-sized iPhone

Ok, by now I assume most people have heard of this new device. It is so far been considered an over-sized iPhone but with a lot more features and better quality technology. For instance, it is mainly a portable laptop without a hard drive (no longer have to worry about hurting the hard drive when moving a laptop as this device is flash memory) and the capabilities of a lot of features that a laptop would have. For starters, it lets you browse the web anywhere that has cell phone service as it is 3G networks and as many know to browse the web you use the app known as Safari. You can also simply go on YouTube and for the first time ever on a portable device (aside from laptops) you can watch all the YouTube videos in HD. You also can get the app Skype too communicate with others and other apps that you are interested in as in all of your favorite app games already on your iPod Touch or iPhone. It also is going to be getting a new app meant for the iPad as iWork. This is like the Word for a Microsoft computer and with the new keyboard meant to be plugged into this iPad you can write stories on this device itself, whether it is a book, short story or something for homework it can be very useful and with the ability to take everywhere it can be of a lot of help. This iPad also features the new iBooks store app where you can purchase and read all your favorite books using e-books. It also brings back the e-mail feature and with a much better quality version where it actually seems like you are on a computer when using this app. Not to forget, it also contains a GPS with more to offer than last time, a much, much better quality calender, the iTunes store (yes, this means it also downloads all your music), obviously the App Store and it still has the movie feature but now it is all HD movies over HQ and this time with summaries before watching the movie. The Photo app is also ten times better with the ability to find pictures with ease as everything is categorized from the start. I think this new iPad is going to be very awesome and with future possibilities like a webcam, camera, video camera, well, let's just say I think Apple is going too become a much better company with much more offers.

Seems pretty cool, although I would probably rather get a laptop for the price they are asking ($500).

Although I believe it would be a very good choice for people who are on the go and just require the basics (photo, text, internet, etc).

Which you know I am one on the go all the time. Ya, I agree this is for mainly people on the go and not for when at home a lot. But since I go out practically every day it is good for me and the fact I make 3 hour trips on those days most the time.

I would love one of those if it could edit videos or play games like Supreme Commander or Halo. I bet they will have similar devices that powerful someday in the near future.

They have a game called N.O.V.A which is the Apple version of Halo. It is great! LOL

It seems okay but where will you carry it around in if your on the go? Also, how long is the battery and how much does it weigh? There are alot better stuff then this with a lower price so it'll be hard for it to be successful in the market.

About a pound it weighs, it lasts up to 10 hours of battery life (said this in the first post) and ranges from $500-800 dollars. (Mainly storage space is the price)

I have an iPod Touch so I don't need this iPad. Although, I would like an iPad to replace my broken laptop.

Ya, well, the point to this that I like is that it is like the perfect on the go everywhere laptop. With 3G and this much better service/screen it is much better than an iPod Touch which I have a 3rd Gen model too and still plan on this only I am not adding music at all too the iPad to save space.

I've been hooking my wi-fi up until I learned I had a location. I felt like an idiot. So I sat. And played some Assassin's Creed. And multiplayer games...

Well, as stated before this iPad is great for internet as it works everywhere without wifi so you don't need to connect to wifi. (I know you are talking about something else Luxord but that made me want to remind everyone/ LOL )

The iPad does not have the same features as my MacBook Pro...........it's waaaaay slower, has a smaller screen, and can't play any games that aren't downloaded or text based. Plus, the laptop is way more useful for school.

Like I said, this is for the people always on the go and is perfect for that. I'm getting one anyways.
