Jon, do I know the guy your talking about?

A good friend of mine is unschooled (none of you know him) and is the brightest kid I know. He is literally a genius. He is a year younger than me and has built robots, computers, and knows multiple programming languages. He also actually enjoys math. Shocked He has his own workshop in his basement where he builds robots and actually owns his own company (his father is a lawyer so all the legal stuff is taken care of).

Besides him and possibly Jon's friend, all the other unschooled kids I know of are pretty much as Lizat described. Razz

I'm pretty good with computers too, but I'm clueless (comparatively speaking) about robots. Razz

Aye, EE, I know a kid who's AWESOME at guitar who's unschooled but he's 18 and knows less than a 3rd grader.

And since we're talking about smart peoples, I must mention my family :3

We all have been public schooled.

My cousin is 25, skipped all of high school, went straight to college, and is currently the youngest professer at UNC at age 25, with a docterate's degree.

I myself skipped 2nd grade, and am still in almost all advanced classes. I am currently writing a book, and plan on being an Enviromental Lawyer.

I actually am just finishing writing a serious novel with about 700 pages Lizat, does that also prove Homeschool is good? Razz I know you aren't saying anything bad about Homeschooling but I am making a joke at the same time as talking about my book. It has taken me 9 months to get to this point of my 700 page book and now I am in the editing phase of it. How big is your book so far and how long have you been working on it?

LOL, ya, I planned my entire book out within 5 years before writing it and it came a long way from where it was when I was 10 and how it is now when I am 16. Razz It takes time to get the plot of something perfect, I have the entire book planned out in my head and now I am nearly ready to publish my book, once it has been copyrighted I will gladly talk about what it is but until then I am very careful with it and only trust 3 people with it accept family of course, I mean outside of family. LOL I actually already know everything that is going to happen for the entire series of my book which will have 4 books involved.

As long as your books aren't outrageously overpriced like some books out today (I'm not naming any names *cough*...Eragon), I'll buy a copy.
