Happy Thanksgiving CBGamez!

There is a lot of trouble in the world. Terrorism, the economy, the suffering that goes on in some of the poorest countries...or even the suffering that goes on in the alleys of the downtown area of your city. Poverty is everywhere. Your life probably isn't perfect. I know mine isn't. But we often tend to dwell on all the bad that happens in our lives, and forget about the good. With Thanksgiving just a day away, for most it's going to be a time of fun, family, friends, and my personal favorite, food. You're probably going to have a good time enjoying a vacation from school, work, etc. This is the best possible time to just stop and think about what you've got. This holiday was first instated as the pilgrims way of setting aside a day to thank their God, and to celebrate the new freedoms they had obtained. Today Thanksgiving is widely recognized in America as a way of taking a break just to have time with loved ones, and kick off the holiday season. But the meaning of the name remains the same. This is a time of giving Thanks. If you're on this forums, you're probably a lot better off than those living in the streets. You may have just lost a loved one, you may have just lost your job, you may have just lost something that you cared about. These issues tend to dominate your mind and you can't seem to get them out of your head. But if no other time, no matter what religion you may hold to, whether your getting together for a big dinner with friends and a football game, or working overtime, today, please think about how GREAT you have it compared to so many others, and give Thanks.
