Whenever people discuss aliens and whether they could be with us already, you always hear someone ask why they would come all this way. I have 2 possible reasons.

Reason 1) These aliens have more advanced technology than us, presumably because they are smarter than us. On earth, the average American (MURICA!!!!!1) watches wayyyyy too much reality TV. This advanced alien species evolved beyond that, and only watches REALITY TV, as in everything is real. Their most popular 5D TV show is: Phantom Alien Gourmet. This TV show makes so much money that they have aliens hide among other aliens and humans, just to review extra-extraterrestrial restaurants. They inevitably reviewed us, specifically the restaurants McDonalds, IHOP, and Subway®. We received 1, 9, and 50 supernovas out of 50.

Reason 2) Neil Patrick Harris is actually an alien. In this specific alien language, his name is incomprehensible to human hearing, due to Aliens speaking through UV light interactions. However, the aliens have a second frequency band in which they communicate using mechanical waves instead: Neil Patrick Harris's real alien name is Barney Stinson. In a spacebar orbiting Barney Stinson's home galaxy's supermassive black hole, he was talking to his friend Ted, who said human's wouldn't believe he was one of them. Then the obvious occurred.
