Ads And Not Good Ones

For the past few months if I was logged out there would be inappropriate ads popping up however today even logged in they are showing up and I will be blunt, they are porn ads and info ads on your location and bad stuff like that. I am not sure about everyone else however I know Chris has been getting them too apparently. C.J, can you fix this please???

If it contains pornography, it's not from the forums. It could be from some other application on your computer.

Although there are ads for guests, I have never gotten any inappropriate ads even when logged out or using another computer, also the company that is providing the ads is not supposed to show ads like that.

EDIT: How long has this been going on for? It may actually be the ads from the forums. I did some research and apparently other administrators using the same company are having some problems (although only one said something about pornographic images). I'm continuing to look into the matter.

Well only sometimes it has been that. Mainly ads for random things however one I get a ton is "You have a crush" also just normal ads for a few months and then the pornographic ones started last night. Also it isn't just my desktop. It is also when using my iPod surprisingly and on my laptop. So I don't think it is a virus related spam ads. Also Chris mentioned he had the same problem once. (a normal ad is currently showing even when I'm logged in which isn't normal) usually ads pop up when I'm logged out but now even when I'm logged in and the pornographic ones was when I was logged out.

Yes, I found out some more about the problem. Apparently it is a mistake and they are trying to fix it now. The whole situation seems to be rather confusing though. We'll give the advertisement company some time to sort it out.

There should not be any pop-up ads, just banner ads (at the top of the page).

Same dif. That's what I meant. Lol I mean on the forums itself. I still call those pop up ads though since they aren't supposed to be there. Lol

Pop-up ads are ads that open in a new window, and are not actually on the page itself.

Also, there should be banner ads on the forums, but only appearing to guests and not containing any pornographic content.

Ya they are banner ads I guess according to what you are saying and they are on when logged in and sometimes are the porn ones as of yesterday.

That's not good. Ah well, apparently they are trying to fix it.

Hhmm, I've never seen any bad ads and I'm here quite a bit...

It started for me last night. However I have only seen three. Otherwise they have been normal. On my laptop, iPod and desktop it has happened.
