Halo Reach Beta Gameplay

It looks to me like the updates from Halo 3 are the following...

Loadouts:
Which is awesome IMO as that is how you get special abilities and get to choose your certain weapons to spawn with. Now my question mainly is, are they editable once the real game comes out? In the sense of weapons mainly. (Sprint, Roll, Jet Pack, Camo and Armor Lock)

Gametypes:
Headhunter, Invasion, Generator Patrol and Stock Pile. They all look really awesome and are returning with pretty much all the most awesome gametypes including, Swat, Slayer, Snipers, CTF and more!

Elites Vs Spartans:
They get their own special roles now in the sense they can only play on certain games together (aside from Custom Games I believe) and one of the games they can play on is Generator Patrol as the Spartans must guard the Generators from the Elites or the Elites win if they blow all 3 (I think 3) up. Mainly they are separate now because it turns out Elites are a ton more powerful in the sense of health and damage than before.

Weapons:
What can I say, DMR, the new Battle Rifle (forgot name), a Needler similar to the DMR are all going to make a big step from Halo 3 while the return of AR, Magnum (now super powered), Gravity Hammer, Needler, Spartan Laser, Rocket Launcher, Sword and more this is going to be insane!

I have now seen gameplay footage (as shown in the link above) and now can't wait until next Monday and it looks to me like instead of downloading the Beta off of ODST that on ODST it will be under Extras which will appear on that day!

i'm not to keen on the load outs i prefer some customization options and the roll ability is only for elites

Yes the Roll ability is only for Elites but you can still pick up weapons, so technically the only difference is that you get a special ability to go with your auto weapons.

I will only be happy with loadouts if they are fully customizable in custom games(the gametype creator decides what loadouts are available).

I would assume it will be that way but Custom Games won't be in the Beta. For online anyways the loadouts are great IMO! (I assume you set up the game in custom games and maybe their won't be loadouts at all there unless you choose so)

i think load outs will be in custom games but u probably choose wuts in them

Ya, but you must admit that when it comes to Matchmaking being able to choose your class, weapons (in the sense of starting weapons like DMR, AR and such) and special ability that it is pretty sweet and that is similar as in BC2 when you choose your class.

Yeah, I just hope that you can't start out with something like a rocket launcher.

I doubt that unless it is a game about that.

Yeah, I meant for normal games (like team slayer).

Something like Rocket Race would be fine.

Well I think it will be the same as it is now for when we choose a gametype that there will only be the weapons to start with that are meant for that gametype and you can find weapons on the map (for instance if we play Team Swat and are Spartans we will get DMR and Magnum, if Elite Needler Rifle and Plasma Pistol/Magnum with the special power you chose)

I think swat will be Spartan on Spartan with DMRs and possibly Magnums.

I bet they will have two different gameplays for Elites and Spartans on Swat or anything TBH.

I am looking out for the new matchmaking system and how the arena will work out.

Yeah, except the BR isn't in Reach. They are introducing a new weapon called the DMR which I assume you are referring to. The DMR is similar to the BR except it only shoots one bullet at a time (BR fires three), has a higher zoom (somewhere between BR and sniper), is more accurate unless you rapidly fire, and doesn't contain as many bullets per clip.

So far I like it better than the BR.

It would be nice to have both guns in the game but I would take the DMR over the BR.

Because of its one shot and fast attack gun it is better.

I'm not sure if it will be stronger, but it has a better zoom and does more damage. It's basically a cross between a sniper and a BR.

Well that is mainly what I meant.

br will be in forge just like sentinel beam probably
