Constitution - Jagex has done it this time...

If you guys (and gals) haven't been to the runescape homepage and read the recent update, or logged into runescape recently, something major has just happened. The hit-points level is now called "constitution", your actual hit-points (now called "life-points") is now determined by your constitution level multiplied by ten, and you can now hit 10 times higher than you previously could. This allows for more accurate hits. In the past, if you were to hit a 26.3, it would simply show 26. Now it shows 263 damage. All of the experience you gain is the same, however, and all monsters have the same theme applied to them (they have 10 times as many life-points and can hit 10 times higher).

Another update is when you load the game up. You no longer just choose a world and log in. You can now access private chatting and clan chats without actually logging into a world at this thing called the lobby. It looks really cool and I can foresee that as being useful.

Other than these two updates, gameplay is the same as it was. I just thought I'd tell any of you who don't play the game or haven't been to runescape lately.

It's nuts. When I first logged in, an Ankou (a rs monster) hit a 75 on me, then I turned around and hit a 329 on it.

I hate it so much, FAGEX, JUST RETURN THE OLD RUNESCAPE TO US!

I logged in, didn't know there was an update, a guard hit a 80 on me, then i hit a 215 on it, i was like O.O

guards can't hit 80, nice try

Well, it's impossible tbh. Their max was 3 before the update so their max would be 30 now.

Only 3??? Are you sure...? I thought their max hit was 70, maybe 80 (although I don't recall ever seeing one).

The problem with Constitution is that people will get it confused with Construction when talking about it. They are both abbreviated "con".

Eagle, have you ever seen a guard hit a 7 or an 8 before? I didn't think so...

Well, i did.

Try fighting one with no armor and lowered stats to find out.

Or just look them up on Zybez.

u forgot about the riots because of whiny pkers being too thick to do maths to know when to heal

Dude, you haven't proved anything. It's my word versus yours. I've been playing runescape for around 7-8 years now so I know what I'm talking about.

I've been playing since 2002 on multiple accounts, I just never go long without quitting, i quit about once or twice a year, then a big update comes along and i start again, get bored of that update, then quit again, and then the cycle repeats itself.

Go there, look on the right side. Max hit for level 22 guards is 40 and the max for the 19,20, and 21's is 30. That's an official website, now do you believe me?
