The greatest game for the PS3?
Or the greatest flop?

MAG, or Massive Action Game, is a brand new, MASSIVE (And i'm saying MASSIVE for a reason) Multiplayer FPS game exclusively for the PS3.
There are games of 64 people, to 256 REAL LIFE PLAYERS ON ONE MAP.

This game plays like a traditional FPS, just it's kind of Role-Playing, you have a skill tree, the more you level up, the more Skill Points you get, which gives you, weapon attachments, extra items, new weapons, and other equipment.

There are three basic factions, S.V.E.R, or Seryi Volk Executive Response, which is practically a gang of people. Raven, who is your high-tech clean mercinaries, and Valor, who is your traditional FPS American squad.

S.V.E.R, is based in Russia, while Raven is based in Argentina, and Valor is based in Alaska, USA.

Within the game, players fight for dominance of the battlefield, while trying to either attack, or defend vital research facilities.

The game begins in 2025. As time passes in our modern world, maintaining a full scale military becomes a burden. In a fully globalized world, the only security threat is from small scale rogue organizations against whom large forces are useless, and the fuel needed to supply increasingly mechanized armies becomes more costly. As a result, most nations armies decrease to the size necessary to defend against a "national emergency". Furthermore, under the "Millennium Accord", no nation's military is permitted to leave its own borders, officially creating world peace. In their place rise PMCs (Private Military Corporations). They have two advantages: first, they compete, lowering their cost, and second, they are allowed to work for anyone, anywhere. In an unregulated global economy, the companies soon compete by less than honest means. After enough mergers, bargains and buy-outs, however, the remaining PMCs decided to put their weapons to full use. The original attacks followed a simple plan: shoot a competitor's soldiers, lowering supply to cause them to charge more and, ultimately, go out of business. The shadow war, as it was called, grew in secret until the conflict moved into full swing, with the PMCs securing their own interests and violently fighting for contracts.

In MAG, there is a Domination game mode where there is 256 players, with users divided into 8-player squads, with 4 squads forming a platoon, and 4 platoons forming a company. To give you a basic explanation of the gigantic size of the game.

All servers are Sony based, which means no body will have to deal with the Lag from other player's hosting.

To give you an idea of the epic size of the battles, lets say you are in a match.
You get spawned with your squad of 8 other players, you are chosen as the Squad Leader.
You order your squad to destroy the S.V.E.R Gate, to get to their vehicular.
While running with your squad to destroy the gate, you hear a radio transmission, "Their Triple A gun's are down." You look into the sky and see a mass of people parachuting into the battle, in the far off distance you can see and hear explosions from other squads destroying their objectives.
There is so much smoke in the air, it is hard to see.

You hear a squad member yell to you, "C'mon Sarge! we gotta destroy this gate so we can get the S.V.E.R Recon Vehicles!"
You run and get your engineer to plant the explosives, bullets whizzing by your head, explosions behind you, the gate blows up.
You and your squad meet up with the rest of your Platoon and attack the main Research factory.
You win a Major Victory.

This game, all in all, get a 5/5 from me, great game, unique gameplay, epic scale of the battles, and pretty good graphics.

Well, that's all for my MAG review, hope you guys with PS3's check this game out, it's worth it.

Oh yeah, I heard about that game (saw the trailer and some gameplay footage). It seems pretty sweet, too bad it's not on the 360.

Lol, if I had a PS3 that would be the first game I'd buy.

It is REALLY fun and addicting, but, just a warning, S.V.E.R is a bunch of spawnkilling noobs.
And Mega, i would really like it if you wanted to join my PS3 clan.
