Re: Homeschooling?
Homeschooling is freaking awesome . i went to school for like six years, basically lived like a public schooler, went out with a bunch of girls who were lame. in homeschooling its sick, you get to go on field trips and not just sit in a classroom all day with a bunch of girls passing you notes every five minutes, or getting the crap beaten out of you after school. Oh yah, and the education rocks.

Yeah, I was also public schooled for some time (4 years). Nothing particularly bad happened, I just hated following their schedule (science, then english, then lunch, etc). And you are right about the field trips, Ryan. Remember scaring those people in the corn maze?

I was public schooled for 5 years if you count kindergarten and there was weird issues with me. I will put it this way, I was too far ahead in my class, the teachers never liked me and well, uh, well, I like homsechooling and am good at it so that is that.

Re: Homeschooling?
I was public schooled all my life, and personally, i wouldn't ever want to be homeschooled, it'd make me even MORE anti-social.

I don't understand why people think it is anti-social? I have like 40+ great friends and so does all my other homeschooled friends.

Re: Homeschooling?
Yeah. Homeschooling doesn't make you anti-social, unless you CHOOSE to be anti-social. You can meet people and hang out with them just the same as public schoolers. The only difference with homeschooling is that you don't see your friends every single day. That doesn't make you anti-social.

Re: Homeschooling?
Ya, just because you don't see your friends every day means nothing, anti-social would be like being reclusive at home or something. I have like 25 friends that I hang out with every summer at a campground and stay in touch with them over the winter and in the winters I have other friends I get together with all the time.

Yeah, but how do you meet new people if you've been homeschooled all your life?

@King, dude, we dont just sit in our basements all day and rot away, we go out and go to parties and stuff like everybody else, i went to one today, it was awesome. we played truth or dare, i won . i fit in with even the coolest of public schoolers and girls, heck me and EE are even more social than most public schoolers. I mean, its not like were locked away never to see the light of day, i go part time to a high school for some classes.

Re: Homeschooling?
Ya, I don't know where you get the "rich" idea from, homeschoolers are not normally "rich", maybe some are but not all, I think I actually said this same thing to you before, but I guess you didn't believe me? Like Ryan said, usually if your parents are rich, you go to like private schools or something. Do you have homeschooled friends or something that are rich?? Is that why you think all homeschoolers are rich?

Re: Homeschooling?
Then why do you keep saying homeschoolers are anti-social and they should be social when you like being anti-social? Whatever, I am not gonna say anymore on that and it is merely a coincidence they are all rich.

Re: Homeschooling?
Because i like being alone, i hate when people bother me, i have too many feelings bottled up inside, and i'm afraid the wrong feelings will come out, so i just keep to myself.

Re: Homeschooling?
I think it really depends on what you consider "rich". Everyone has their own ideas, and there is no line between "wealthy" and "poor".
Personally I don't consider my family rich, because I know of a lot of people who are more wealthy. However, there are also a lot of people who have less than us who probably consider us to be well off.
It is true that homeschooling costs a lot more than public school, so I believe it is safe to assume that the majority of homeschoolers are thought wealthy by public schoolers.

I don't know if it is more money but at least the same price involved Eagle. However other than that I agree.

Re: Homeschooling?
I'm poor, my parents make about $35K per year, 'prolly less.
So... I find people who can spend that much on School pretty well off.
