Time machine is obviously better. What you do is take the time machine, wait a few seconds, go back in time to when you took the time machine. There are then two of you. Wait a few seconds again and use the time machine to go to the same point in time. Do this until you have enough of you to threaten the person giving you the time machine. Then take the X-wing and the time machine and the oldest version of you can keep it.

Alternatively, if the person giving you the X-wing/Time machine is not powerful enough to destroy an X-wing (which is unlikely, because he wouldn't give you a weapon without a way to defend himself from it), kill him with the X-wing and take both.


My question. A man is holding a 60' long explosive horizontally with the front of the explosive 30' ahead of him and the back of the explosive 30' behind him. Other than the man holding the explosive, any contact with the explosive will cause it to explode (ignoring air resistance and stuff like that). He runs at 108000 miles per second towards a barn with a front and back door that are 40' apart, both open. Another man is standing by the barn and watching for the running man to be halfway between the front and back end of the barn. When the running man is at that point, the man outside the barn will attempt to close the doors and open them instantaneously. How much of the running mans blood (and body parts) will the other man have to clean up to dispose of the evidence? (Hint: See figure P1 for help)

If the man outside the barn somehow ran faster than the running man with the explosive to close the doors and open them then the explosion would be pushed outwards towards the window and doors causing the poor running man's hands to blow up (depends on amount of explosive inside) since the inside of the barn is 40' and the explosive is 60'. it would most definitely hit the doors.

If the man outside can't run faster then the man with the explosive then he would run right through the barn with no problem and have a head on collision with a cow causing an explosion spraying milk everywhere.

PS: the man outside the barn would probably get hit the explosion too but will not be life threatening.
