Indeed. How would they know that for sure? Unless Apple is collecting data about everyone using their product! Which wouldn't surprise me. But then they would also have to have access to the user data of every other phone/camera out there. So yeah, it's unsupported.

Yeah, I have an iPhone but there may actually be truth behind the music ad. iPhone is currently the best selling smartphone. 30 million units YTD versus 20 million S4s and 23 million HTC Ones. Also, it possesses the full functionality of an iPod. Almost everyone I know who has Androids or Windows phones has an iPod in addition, which they use for music. Everyone I know who has an iPhone just uses it alone. I'd say that ad is kinda supported. Haha

You have a valid point, but there's still no way Apple can know for sure that what they are claiming is true. In their ad, why not say that it's the best-selling phone instead of claiming that more music/photos are played/taken on it than any other device? They're making assumptions based on the number of iPhone sales, which doesn't necessarily reflect the usage of its features compared to other devices. More importantly, they are acting as though you should buy the product simply because a lot of other people use it, and not based on its actual merits. For example, just because most people take photos with an iPhone doesn't make it superior to, say, a Samsung NX300.

That's all very true. I don't really like Apple's methods of advertisement myself. The company as a whole always seems so cocky. Apparently, though, their ads work fairly well.

Indeed. The primary reasons I dislike Apple are based more on their principles as a company, rather than their actual products (which, though I still prefer PCs, aren't as bad as many haters make them out to be).
