Cell Phone Unlocking Petition.

I was browsing YouTube videos on some jailbreaks, and I have come across this petition. Oh, and you have to make an account.

Apparently, unlocking phones have been deemed illegal since January 26th, although people have been spending $700+ on them to use on another carrier which doesn't sell that phone (Ex. - iPhone with T-Mobile).

It's pretty stupid since they are saying you cannot unlock a phone for a high price, but rather you have to buy a new phone to go to a new carrier instead.

I agree with you, however I didn't really look over this thread until now. I also find this to be an annoying flaw and feel that everyone deserves the right to decide their carrier and cell phone of choice. Why should this be deemed illegal when it is benefitting multiple Cell Phone carriers and Phone companies? For example, I doubt Apple or Samsung have a problem with earning more money on their devices so that they can be used at a different carrier...

I even found the iPhone 5 UNLOCKED on Amazon selling for $700+, and it's sold by Apple themselves.

Normally, I would sign this, but considering the Note 2 and galaxy S3 are on sprint tmobile verizon and at&t, i don't think it matters.
