Star Wars Episode 7

I am assuming most people have heard about this change to the franchise so far. Recently George Lucas sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney for over $4 Billion bucks! And with this change, Disney has determined to make at least three more Star Wars films, starting with Episode 7 to continue the story beyond Luke Skywalker.

Now to me, this is a very stupid idea. They ended the series very nicely with everything answered, so why continue to make more beyond it--unless it was a side story/spin off such as a TV show or game? Making another movie I feel could ruin the series all together--unless they bring back the original cast from 4-6 (mainly Luke, Leia and Han) as supporters in the seventh? I don't know, I am so far against this idea.

Regardless though, Episode 7 is set for 2015 to release alongside the Avengers 2 (which Marvel is also owned by Disney as of 2010) which has already gone into preparation with Iron Man 3, Thor the Dark World and Captain America - Winter Soldier. However when it comes to Marvel, Disney has seemed to do a good job with the recently released films--especially the Avengers! So maybe there is hope with Star Wars too? Wouldn't be surprised to hear confirmation on another Indiana Jones now either.

After hearing that, i would make the comparison of how they continued to make Friday the 13th movies after the original 4 were well done. If they end up getting worse and worse with each movie released, i wouldn't be surprised. It's like continuing the original Halloween Series, they killed Jamie Lee Curtis' character off in the one they released before the remake, it seems like a waste to make her come back to life like Jason. I agree with Jon though, it does seem like a stupid idea

Hopefully they at least make it better than the prequel trilogy. Now don't get me wrong by this--I enjoyed them, but not nearly as much as the original trilogy. If they make it WORSE than the prequel series... then I will join you guys. lol
