You are kidding, right? Of course he is a super hero in the Marvel universe. If anything, Captain America is the only non super hero of the four. He is basically a medical experiment on steroids and I still consider him a super hero.

In fact, so was Hulk and Iron Man was made literally. If you don't consider Thor a super hero, then none of them are. They are just a team of remarkable people and heroes. Want an actual super hero? Look to Superman as he is basically the only true super hero according to what you are saying. Others are made or became mutants.

I believe Chris was referring to Thor's true status as a Norse god. Marvel may treat him as more of a superhero in their universe, but they took him straight out of Norse mythology.

True, but it doesn't change the fact that he is any different than other heroes in the Avengers. They all were made and or an experiment.

I think spiderman should take thor's place. I bet this would of happened if sony didnt own him. >_> i still think thor shouldnt be in the avengers..he should be doing greek stuff in greece like causing storms and messing with the other gods.

I should have said aside from Thor, but either way they aren't anymore super hero than Thor is considering they were made/experiments and Thor was born a Norse God which if you think about it, Superman who everyone considers a super hero was an alien which technically Thor is too according to Marvel's version and just considered a god in Earth's eyes because of stories. Point being: They all are super heroes because being a super hero means a hero with extraordinary gifts and Thor still falls in this category either way because he is still a hero and has special powers. That is what a super hero is according to Marvel and DC.

They based the movie on the original Avengers stories however didn't include Ant Man and I believe they are trying to tie in Spider Man into the Avengers story line which could be another reason for the reboot. I personally am still a Tobey Maguire fan.

And Chris, whether Sony was in charge of the of the movies made of Spider Man or not, not all Avenger characters movies where made by Paramount. In fact, they are all Disney owned now because Marvel bought out Disney and Marvel is in charge of all these films whether they are Sony, Fox, Disney or even Paramount.

Note: Spider Man was only a new Avenger. Not an original Avenger like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye and Hulk.
