Hurricane Irene aims towards East Coast. Pray it will not happen

I was thinking whether to post this as an announcement.

Well, we had that earthquake Tuesday...

Hurricane Irene is making it's way towards the East Coast... Hopefully it won't affect any lives. It just went through the Bahamas.


To panic, or not to panic...

Oh crap...I really hope its not worse then the earthquake we had if it does hit.

Apparently it's not very powerful, at least for a hurricane. Hopefully it will cause minimum damage and no injuries.

Should I panic?

I think I will panic.

It will hit philly at 2:30pm on sunday.

It is said to strengthen to a Category 4 which is really powerful

Yeah, but it will only be temporary, and then it will go down by the time it reaches Jersey/Pennsylvania

Well, seeing that I am going to lose my house and possibly survive, I can guarantee we will LOSE POWER!

just heard from the news it will weaken to a category 1 then to a tropical storm when it hits NJ\PA but it will still be powerful with 50-70mph winds here. I've also heard it is the most powerful storm to hit NJ in 70yrs and NJ is evacuating because of that. Just hope its not to bad.

My college campus isn't letting me move in until the hurricane goes past! I now have to stay with my relatives who live a couple hours away until Monday.

Oh well, I just hope nobody is hurt and that any damage is minor!

The REALLY weird thing is that my grandfather, who went to the same college I am going to, had a hurricane hit the campus in his first week at college too!

My aunt's pool in North Carolina got smashed by falling trees and the land around her house is completely flooded (so badly that she can't get to her car). Good thing her house is built on a raised platform...

No offense to people around me, but if that tree in my backyard falls in the near future, I hope it doesnt fall within my direction.
