New Headset Empty New Headset

Well I finally got a new headset. Razz It is a Sharkoon X-Tatic SX headset.

If you are thinking about getting a Turtle Beach, I would recommend at least looking at this brand also, because my headset is basically the same thing as the $60 Xbox 360 Turtle Beach but is slightly cheaper ($50) due to the brand not being as well known. It even got better reviews than the Turtle Beach version.

You do know that Turtle Beaches are as cheap as $40 but go up to $200, right? So technically, the $60 version is a cheap version of the Turtle Beach.

Yeah. I don't know why anyone would pay $200 for a headset though. Anyway, Sharkoon also has a variety of options so no matter which Turtle Beach model you are considering I would still suggest checking out Sharkoon.

I had a Triton headset before and about after a month it stopped working and I have no clue why. I kept good care of it I thought and there was no signs of what made it stop working. Oh well.

My Triton did too, but they said they couldn't fix it because they said there was nothing they could do because it was internal or something and I wasn't able to return it because it was already opened. On the bright side though, it was a birthday present, so I didn't have to spend the money myself. lol

I believe my warranty covers everything except for user damage, meaning if I broke it myself by dropping it or spilling something on it. So I should be fine as long as I take very good care of it.

Yeah, just be warned that usually those kinds of headsets break within a 6 month usage unless you take very good care of them. I was just very unlucky with the one I got. The wireless Reach mic has lasted me nearly a year and I still use it to this day. So I am proud of that. Very Happy

I know that many people experience problems with Turtle Beaches after a few months. I am hoping that my Sharkoon will last much longer than that, because it did get way better reviews than the Turtle Beach model on Newegg. And on top of that, my warranty should cover most problems that might occur.
