Although profanity may not physically harm anyone, it often encourages hard feelings between people. I try to keep the forums clean so that if someone has a problem they can express themselves originally and clearly, rather than just cursing up a storm. I don't really mind if someone is just joking around when they curse as long as they are extremely careful not to offend anyone while doing so. However, most people aren't able or even willing to take on that responsibility, therefore the censor.

If it wasn't a censor thing and if Rob was on here and was mad, well it wouldn't be pretty...

I think he just means that some words are less offensive than others, and sometimes expressing yourself includes those words. You could also make a toggle censor to let people choose on whether or not they want to see the swearing.

That is a good idea but I'm too busy AND lazy to do it. I think the censor is fine as it is, I mean it's not like Wizard 101 or anything... and if you've never played that game, go create an account just to see the censor in action. >_<
